Zakat Project

Zakat project is a humanitarian initiative aimed at distributing zakat (almsgiving) to most vulnerable families in the Yemeni governorates of Hadramout, Aden, and Al-Hodeidah. It coincides with the first ten blessed days of Dhul-Hijjah, a spiritually significant time for Muslims. The project ensures that zakat reaches eligible families directly, promoting social solidarity and alleviating hardship.

The project collects zakat from generous donors and distributes it to 1,000 needy families through a transparent and precise mechanism. This approach ensures fairness and fulfills the core purpose of zakat: meeting urgent needs and fostering compassion within the community.

  • High poverty rates and worsening living conditions in the targeted areas.
  • The urgent need for timely humanitarian intervention during blessed seasons.
  • Zakat is a religious obligation that ensures wealth redistribution and social balance.
  • Strengthening social bonds by connecting donors with beneficiaries.

The project will be implemented across three key Yemeni governorates:

  • Hadramout
  • Aden
  • Al-Hodeidah
