Celebrating in Mukalla the empowerment of eighteen girls in the field of sewing women’s clothing and abayas

Sanaye Al Maarouf Humanitarian Foundation in Hadramout on Wednesday morning January 20, 2021, celebrated the empowerment of eighteen girls from the city of Mukalla in the field of sewing women’s clothes and abayas who received theoretical and practical training in a forty-day training course within the program (My profession is in my hands) in its third version, by holding an event attended by the director General of the Office of the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training in the coast of Hadramout, Dr. Abdul-Baqi Ali Al-Houthari, and the coordinator of the program (My profession is in my hands) Muhammad Ahmad Muhammad bin Qarwan.

 At the outset of the ceremony, which began with Quranic verses, the Director of Programs and Projects at Sanaye Al Maarouf Humanitarian Foundation, Mr. Muhammad Salih Bathar in the attendees, explaining the importance of empowering women in the professional fields, by providing them with a profession through which they can face the burdens of life that have burdened many members of society, indicating that the foundation , through this program, targeted families with limited income and who are able to manage an economic activity; In conclusion, he thanked Sila Foundation for Development, which funded this program, the Office of the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training in the coast of Hadramout, the cooperating partner in implementing the program with the Foundation, and the Industrial Vocational Institute in Mukalla, which hosted the course.For his part, the program coordinator, Mr. Muhammad bin Qarwan, spoke about the role of the programs that silah foundation  funded  , which includes the program (My Career is in My Hand 3), which aims to empower individuals and families, through training and providing the necessary equipment for work, indicating that the success of this program motivated  Silah Foundation to  launch ( My Career in My Hand 4 program), which will empower more families and enter the labor market.In turn, Dr. Abdul Baqi Al-Houthi praised the program (My profession is in my hands 3), which was embraced by the Industrial Institute in the (Gul Masha area) in the city of Mukalla, explaining that this program is in line with the philosophy of the famous proverb (Do not give me a fish every day, but teach me how to catch a fish), as Al-Houthi explained That the institutes affiliated with the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training Office train and qualify many young people of both genders in various professions that are now in demand in the labor market, including sewing and embroidery. A large number of families with limited income, Al-Houthi also reviewed the activities carried out by the Ministry’s office during the past year in the main office and instituteIn turn, the beneficiaries, at the closing ceremony of the program (My profession is in my hand 3), gave a speech on behalf of the participants, Sister Tahani Babakir, in which she expressed her sincere thanks and gratitude to everyone who funded and implemented this program, which she described as working to provide them with a profession that saves them need.  At the end of the ceremony, the trainees were handed new sewing machines, through which they would jump into the labor market with confidence and ability to set up their own projects in the field of sewing women’s clothing , and they were also given certificates approved by the office of the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training in Hadramout coast, and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor office. For their attendance in the course on sewing women’s clothes and abayas, which was held within the program (My profession is in my hands 3). The office of the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training in the coast of Hadramout, the Industrial Vocational Institute, and the Selah Foundation for Development were also honored with memorial shields, as well as the trainers in this program and the directors of departments in the Ministry’s office in Mukalla were honored with certificates of thanks, in gratitude from  Sanaye Al-Maarouf Foundation for these bodies that contributed to the success of this program.
